Set in the middle of suburban Bergen Country and home to more than six and a half thousand people, Allendale provides a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere to its visitors and residents. Home to the nature reserve "Celery Farms" Allendale's reservation is home to many wild animals including numerous amounts of exotic bird; the bald eagle being one of them. As well as this reserve Crestwood Park is the heart of this , and area in which you can spend time with your family or just to relax. Crestwood Park provides its residents with a made man lake, softball/baseball fields, tennis courts and much more!
 
As well as catering to the physical and aesthetic needs of its residents Allendale offers a wonderful educational platform for its students. This town has two public schools; Hillside and Brookside. Hillside educates children from Kindergarten to 3rd grade while Brookside serves students from 4th grade to 8th. The older students of Allendale attend Northern Highlands Regional High School which is a combination of youth from Allendale, Upper Saddle River, Ho-Ho-Kus, and Saddle River.
 
Living in Allendale also makes commuting to work easier via New Jersey Transit. These lines offer transportation to the Hoboken Terminal which is the hub to the Secaucus Junction and Penn Station. But if driving to work is easier for you Allendale is just set right off of Route 17 which offers a stress free commute.
